Thank you for your interest in becoming an IWDN sponsor. Our sponsors recognize the value IWDN brings to the general development community and the potential impact exposure on IWDN could have for their businesses. We consider the sponsorship of IWDN to be a philanthropic gesture on the part of our sponsors, with the added benefit of exposure to our industry-focused registered members, guests and the search engines that regularly index and rank our site.

Why is IWDN looking for sponsorship? IWDN is now being housed on a server with greater resources at a greater expense. All server-related expenses are currently coming out of the admins' pockets, and IWDN needs sponsorship to be able to maintain its presence and rate of growth. Revenue generated through sponsorship over-and-above the needed amounts will be kept in a fund that will eventually pay for IWDN to have its very own dedicated server. Revenue beyond this will be used for forum promotion and contest prizes. We expect over time to build up a respectable endowment, and any additional moneys will be earmarked for charitable causes.

We currently have two sponsorship opportunities available for anyone wishing to sponsor IWDN

Site-Wide Sponsorship

This sponsorship message goes into a rotation with no more than 15 total sponsorships (and as few as one). It resides in the upper-left corner of the site, tucked squarely between the top and side navigation areas, and right below the sign-in box for members. This gives it good exposure to forum members and guests, all of whom must use the same navigation to use the site, while keeping it from being too intrusive.

Forum Sponsorship

Forum sponsors may choose any available forum to sponsor as their own. A link to the sponsor is displayed on the home page at all times (this spot it not rotated). This gives it a steady presence for site visitors and search engines, which may be boosted by choosing a forum that is well-suited to the contents of the link.

IWDN takes its relationship with its sponsors very seriously. The relationship is one of mutual endorsement, and interested parties are highly encouraged to read the sponsors' terms of service before making a decision regarding sponsorship. This is not a standard TOS with standard small-print legalese. It makes expectations very clear for both the sponsors and IWDN, and we want to make sure everything is straightforward and on the table so you will be happy with your decision to endorse IWDN with your sponsorship.
