The IWDN Core Team Charter
Our Mission
The mission of the International Web Developers Network Core Team is to champion the pursuit of excellence in fields of expertise related directly and indirectly to Web development. We openly and actively share the best knowledge and practices we have to offer with the general development community, initiating discussions in our respective areas of expertise and provoking interest in the industry in others.
We are unselfish in the sharing of our knowledge because we sincerely and altruistically wish to see others benefit from our expertise. We further believe that by raising the quality of standards within our industry, we can increase the value of other professionals who engage in best practices as well.
We protect our reputations and our individual and collective integrity fiercely and with honor.
Code of Conduct
Core team members hold each other to an exceptionally high standard when it comes to the quality of contributions we make to the development community and the professionalism we display both in the online industry and within our professional lives. To this end, we have adopted a code of conduct reflecting the expected level of Core Team Member maturity, integrity and proficiency.
Internal Conduct
- Internal interactions include those conducted within the private forums of IWDN and private communications initiated between Core Team members independent of IWDN.
- All interactions between Core Team members are being conducted with the utmost respect for each other as knowledgeable members of the industry and as human beings. Debates, arguments, conflicts of viewpoints, etc. are all welcome interactions between Core Team members, and are carried out with all due respect at all times.
- All interactions between Core Team members are protected to the same extent as those covered by a non-disclosure agreement. Unless agreed upon by pertinent members or upon instruction otherwise, private forums are a safe place for all Core Team members to express themselves without fear of public disclosure or reproach and to share ideas of value without fear of unscrupulous appropriation.
- Core Team members conduct business with each other with complete confidence, secure in the knowledge that they will be treated fairly.
- Core Team members are supportive of each other during times of adversity. This may include debates, arguments and conflicts of viewpoints between members, but always with the understanding that the intended conclusion is in the best interest of the member(s) in question.
- Core Team members hold each other responsible for their statements and actions, always with the intention to be fair and help maintain each others’ integrity.
IWDN Forums Conduct

- Core Team members treat general IWDN members with the same level of respect they expect from each other.
