upgrade phpdev?

Is there anybody ere who is using the phpdev package and upgraded to PHP 4.4.x?
I ran across a bug in PHP 4.2.3 which is included in the last 'stable' version of phpdev, so I'd like to upgrade.

Before I start doing that I'd like to hear if anybody did it already so I don't have to re-invent the wheel (I don't have a lot of time to play with this.. )

I can't help, Gerrit, but I just wanted to say that if you did find something, please let me know. I'm still running 4.2.3 with PHPDev too, and I'd be interested in upgrading if it's a relatively pain free experience.

It looks like one of us will have to give it a try, huh?
I might have some more time in a week or two. If I didn't find something by then, I'll install phpdev on a separate machine and will play around with the PHP upgrade.

I asked about the need to upgrade to 4.5 or 5.0 and was told "Hell No." Decided I did not want to lose the programs I was running.

Well, I have a need to upgrade. A strange bug in PHP 4.2.3 is bugging me. :)
