I came across this on another board and thought I would see if there was just something I was missing (since there are a lot of Firefox users here).

Have this code (http://www.loudcommerce.com/media/)
test - secure

test - not secure
just something very simple basically for testing. In Firefox 1.5, when clickin on the secure link, Windows Media errors and will not call the video. In non-secure - Windows Media works.

In Internet Explorer - both links open the WMV just fine.

I have no idea but I never open a .wmv file. It's an inconvenience. I prever .flv, .mov, .qtl, .ra/.rm, and if worse comes to worse .avi but no .wmv for me. So hopefully someone else will have your answer :)

:) I even asked in the Windows Media group to see if they might have an answer. I am guessing it is some type of bug in Firefox at this point. It's not me that is trying to do this of course, but just on another board. At first I thought maybe a codec issue or something since MS is coming our with more of those DRM things, but this video above I know does not have anything and should play fine. I had to convert it because for some reason I could not find a WMV file yesterday actually.
