Well, whaddaya know! ok. we'll stop. I suppose, in these early days of iwdn, we can still carry on a little. But we'll have to get serious on D-Day (3 days to go!)
I think the launch date is perfect, as I was born on halloween! If I'm not too hung over, I'll try to make a big, meaningful rant post on The Day 8)

Hey, thanks!
It's a pretty uneventful one - 39. Next year, for 40, I've got to do something really big, so I'm already planning for that one! Dancing bears and everthing :D

Yom Huledet Same'ach :)
You have 10 years on me, my friend! If you decide to have a big celebration for the impending 4-0, let us know! I could use a good excuse to waste away a weekend in the Big Apple.

That reminds me of Homer (Simpsons) "Look a dancing bear"
Happy birthday, almost Sunday :)

Todah Rabbah! ("thank you", for everyone other than Eugene and Paul :))
10 years ain't so much; only half of a generation.
Yeah, we should have some kind of big blowout here in NY -- but before next halloween. Maybe an IWDN launch party? "that other board" is having their shindig in Atlanta, and the NY party thread got locked! So let's have an IWDN bash.

Well, believe it or not, the image I had in my head was one of the Simpsons opening scenes -- the one where they start doing a line dance and then a circus appears behind them, complete with bears on bicycles or somesuch.
So yes, it really was simpsons inspired!

For the longest time I thought you were here in NY (got that impression from the WHT NY meeting thread), but then I saw in some post here that you're actually in Israel.
As the_pm said, do you ever get over to NY at all?

A few years back I spent a year in the US.
Standford, Connecticut, half an hours highway drive from the city--which I visited almost every weekend.
Those were the days.
I want to move back now, and I cant for the life of me get a green card. :(
The only alternative I see is move to canada (they will take anyone), spend 3 years there and get a citizenship and then apply again for the US.
But then again, the only thing worse then a Canadian is a French Canadian.
the only thing worse then that, is a French-Canadian mime...

Get a job in the U.S. if you can find a company looking to hire and pay for your visa. After a few years, you getting citizenship will be a breeze. If Israel recognizes dual citizenship (which I believe it does), you can retain both citizenships and travel, live and work freely between the two. My brother has those privileges with Australia.

It does. I've got dual. Never annulled the Israeli side. Not that I've used it since 1978, but it feels like a part of me.
If you do get to New York...well...check your PM :D
