HostGator Emails?

Has anybody just received an email from HostGator with regards to there 'special' package?

I just received three of the same email to the same address, as far as I know I have never even touched the hostgator site nevermind sign up for emails. Certainly not three of each anyway! :roll:

It's possible something came through to you from the various email forwarders we have going on here, though I haven't seen anything myself. There's also a chance it's a spoof, based on some things I've been reading about malicious people trying to give HG a bad name by sending spam in their name and spoofing their headers. It's tricky, but it can be done.

Can you post the contents of one of the emails?

Well, somehow I managed to escape entirely unscathed. Not a single email from HG, and it appears we've not been affected by the DDOS either, so that's a good thing.
