Thank you everyone for submitting your entries and casting your votes in the IWDN new header contest.
Our top three vote takers are:
1. Header #5 - by ethicaldesign
2. Header #3 - by Tmonster
3. Header #9 - by lauren stephens
Here is the list of headers again: http://forums.iwdn.net/contests/siteheader/submissions/
In an interesting and most unprecedented move, the winner, ethicaldesign, has pointed out that the second place finisher, Tmonster, did amass the most votes given his variations on a single theme (headers 1-3). While this would not technically make him the winner, ethicaldesign has asked that we recognize Tmonster's dominant concept by allowing him to combine both themes into the final header design. In deference to Tmonster, he was even suggested that the site credit prize be attributed to Tmonster instead, a very generous gesture on his part.
After much deliberation (and difference of opinion) between the various admins and mods, it has been decided that for the purposes of this contest, we will honor the winners request by declaring #5 the winning entry, but Tmonster as the winning designer. With their permission, we will work on figuring out the best way to incorporate elements of both designs into the final look for IWDN.
In addition, both designers will receive the site credit prize for their contributions to the new look of IWDN. We will set a date soon to expect the unveiling of our new look.
Again, our congratulations to the winners, and our hearty thanks to everyone for their participation!
