How is everybody feeling today? I'm feeling top of the world!
Certainly no lack of motivation today. Got up at 9:30, compiled myself a good lengthy playlist in Media Player and hit the textpad button. :D

Well, I woke up late, about 10 in the morning, a luxury I afford myself on rare occasion. I had a nice evening with Amy yesterday. We went to a dinner at a winery, did a sampling, ate fantastic food and crashed the moment we got home, quite sober and quite satisfied. I'm playing catch-up here, and in a few minutes I'm going to dive into some client work.
Overall, I'm feeling pretty good, thanks for asking :)

I' m getting in the christmas spirit and starting to enjoy life a little more now that things are starting to slow down for my wife and we get to spend more quality time together with our family (2 boys, 15 and 7)
Happy Holidays everyone

Xmas spirt? There is not such a thing in my household! My dad has banned xmas this year, That was until I told him he wouldn't be getting his new toy for his recently built greenhouse. ;) Our tree won't be up until boxing day!
Two boys eh? I sure hope they are following in your footsteps as an intrepid web developer Ross. :D

I've done most of my Xmas shopping online! :) My parents and my brother are flying in for Xmas (my brother is flying in on the 18th and my parents Xmas Eve!) The only shopping I have left...is getting some gift baskets together...wine..smoked salmon and all that good stuff ;) We got a teeny tree set up on the ledge of where our huge window is in the living room....I even got a monogramed paw stocking for my dog! It came with some chew toys and bones...
As of right now...hmm..I'm feeling pretty good...been up since 7:30am....! Had my morning Starbucks...and now I'm set! (Hot chocolate and an apple fritter ;) ) I try to keep the caffeine to a minimum......

Hey now, I'm chinese..we don't do christmas technically either but it is the "spirit" of the whole idea of christmas that should be important...the giving and sharing ;)

I don't mind all the festive spirit, it is the thought of running around like a headless chicken for presents that scares me. Maybe I will let me mouse and keyboard run around headless this year... as well as my bank account.

well..it made sense for me to shop online. Downtown San Francisco is so crowded all year round...a holiday makes it 10x worse ;) Plus I got tons of discounts on everything I've purchased online!

Nope, not a chance :( everyone in my family introduces me as the "computer geek" part of the family. They're not interested in computers execpt for MSN and games. Such is life, though :?

Hmm...I always get introduced as the one who is going to take care of everybody when I hit it big ;)
I don't like the term "geek" hmm..

And one of these days soon you will, with any luck

Neither do I, but in this case there is a story behind it and it has bemcoe a family joke.
Many years ago when I first met my wife and asked her for a date she put me off for a while. I found out later she wanted to find out what her sister thought of me, since I had known her sister for about 2 years . My wife's sister said and I quote: "He is really nice, BUT he's a real computer geek". My wife's sister did not know anything about computers then. When my wife told me this story a few years after we were married, we both laughed about it and it became a regular joke in our family, more as a way of poking fun at me since I spend most of my free time playing on the computer. And that's the story behind this.
