There was a WHT thread http://www.webhostingtalk.com/showthread.php?t=468134 that showed a Subservient Santa http://www.santasez.sig-ad.com/ . The site has now converted it to a buy only basis. Burger King has a similar model http://www.subservientchicken.com/ .

So what is involved in replicating this model? I want to have this with someone dressed as a cow. Is it a matter of paying someone in a cow suit to perform "unlimited" instructions on camera? If so, once that is done, how do you put the player together?

With lots of actionscript!! Sure, you can't add EVERY SINGLE action you want the "chicken" to do (I asked it to break the tv, and it went for the pillows?).

So once you have a whole collection of clips that perform different commands, is it a simple matter of coding it all in AS in Flash?

Well in a nutshell yeah :) You just need a decent ActionScripter to do the dirty work. But that's a lot of clips and a lot of possibilities!

Apparently you're not the only one who wants to replicate those sites! Look Here (http://board.flashkit.com/board/showthread.php?t=589604)

Thanks for the link, C.

Hmm. Me thinks I will be starting a thread soon asking for feedback on the list of actions a cow has to perform for me to have a "good" collection of actions.

HAHAHA, I love it! My first question for him was to break the TV as well. What a coincidence. He wouldn't do that, but he would do the worm.

Already have a local cow costume rental lined up, as well as a talent to do all the screen shots. My studio is ready to take on the project. All I have to do now is come up with the HUGE list of actions to record. :)

I look forward to seeing how this turns out Vito! :) Good luck!

Please give us first looks at the final product :D

And remember, always have your talent start and end in the same pose, in the same spot, and keep the lighting consistent. Make this really look like a live experience! Oh, and come up with about a dozen different "I don't understand what you're asking" and "naughty naughty" reactions. Have them randomly kick in, so it's not so obvious they are prerecorded :)

Exactly, Paul.

I definitely need to have a few "default" clips that address the more "off the wall" commands. For instance, when someone types in a command for some lude act, the cow will walk towards the camera and wave a finger back and forth as "no-no" - like Baboo on Seinfeld. And for unrecognizable commands, the cow would shrug his shoulders as if to say "What the heck?"

This is gonna be a fun project. :)
