Well this is a new one for me.

I just received an e-mail from a contact of mine. Attached was a .doc document with nothing unusual. Just a business plan, no virus. Spotless.

In the content area of the e-mail, I see this:

The XML page cannot be displayed

Cannot view XML input using XSL style sheet. Please correct the error
and then click the Refresh button, or try again later.
__________________________________________________ ________

<DIV><FONT face=Verdana color=#0000ff size=2> ------------
----^

I can't read the content at all. This is using Opera's M2 e-mail client.

I have tried forwarding the e-mail to a hotmail address, but it forwards the following:

The XML page cannot be displayed Cannot view XML input using XSL style sheet. Please correct the error and then click the Refresh button, or try again later.
__________________________________________________ ____________

A string literal was expected, but no opening quote character was found. Error processing resource '<URL to sender's e-mail programme>'. Line 1, Position 17
<DIV><FONT face=Verdana color=#0000ff size=2>----------------^

I can't read this e-mail via cPanel's Webmail programmes such as Horde because I have Opera set to delete the message from the server once it has been downloaded.

Has anybody ever come across this before? Short of asking the sender to send it again to a different address (Hotmail address this time), is there anything I can do to read the message?

And just as I post that, I get a new message saying she doesn't know what happened either. The new e-mail is perfect.

If anybody does know what could have happened with the first e-mail, considering it appeared on the senders side also (In her "Sent" folder) I would appreciate your insight.
