Hi,

Where can I get some music I can use for broadcast. I guess it would be royalty-free.

Anyone found any good sources? Apart from make your own of course!

thanks,

FlashKit has always done a good job in my eyes for free sound clips and sound loops, Ross.

Isn't Flashkit a Flash-related site?

What does it have to do with the OP?

What does it have to do with the OP?

Because FlashKit offers sound files, and sound loops which can be downloaded, and can be used anywhere you feel like, including a broadcast. :D

One of my clients is a musician who creates Royalty Free music for film production and broadcasting. They're not free, but for a single signup fee you can join for a year and you get full access to his back catalogue and the new songs he creates each month (he even takes requests/suggestions from members for the new songs he makes each month - though whether you get them might depend upon how popular they're going to be with his other customers - he offers a bespoke service if you need something very specific though). He has a lot of clients who are using his music for TV, Film and Web and because they're all created in-house by himself you can be sure that they're not going to be available elsewhere and that there aren't going to be any copyright issues. The initial signup fee is kind of an investment in being able to access the full back catalogue, but repeat signups for subsequent years are at a big discount. You can visit his site at:

http://www.ibaudio.com

and preview the tracks. If you don't want to sign up for the year and are just after a single or selection of tracks, if you drop me a line I can have a word with him and see if he'll sell you them seperately (I'm fairly confident he will).

That is a fantastic resource, Vito. There are certainly some pieces there that will come in very handy for me.

I'm not sure if that question was for me or Jamie, but it's a mixture of all three at the ibaudio site. If you click that link and select the music link at the top of the page you can search and browse the songs and click a preview button to hear them (though you need to sign up to download).
