With Thanksgiving only a couple days away, I thought I'd start a quick thread to give everyone a place to share that for which they are thankful this year. Before I catch flack from our non-U.S. members, anyone can take a moment to reflect on the good things in life; we just wrapped this little notion around a holiday. So, please do share!
I'm thankful for many things in my life, my family, my friends, my girlfriend, my cats. I'm thankful for having been so fortunate in meeting good people with whom I've become associated here and elsewhere online. I'm thankful I have so many opportunities to learn and grow in my profession. I'm thankful the Buckeyes beat Michigan last Saturday.
And there's other stuff, but it's not rushing to mind on my 2-1/2 hours of sleep last night. So I'll pipe in again later.

I'm thankful I'm still alive after a few brushes with death living in Tampa, so I'm thankful I had the opportunity to start out fresh in San francisco with my husband and my dog! I'm thankful for the life that I've been given, the people I've encountered...good and the bad..., the great people who've influenced me so far to get to where I am now and to where I want to be, I'm thankful for living at a safe distance from my in-laws, I'm thankful that I'll be a new auntie real soon (Due date Dec. 6th) to a new baby girl, I'm thankful that for this Thanksgiving that my parents will be flying in that day from Detroit to spend it with my grandparents, aunt, uncle, new cousin, and the rest of the family (I've haven't had Thanksgiving with my grandparents since I was 3 or 4), I'm thankful that when all hope is lost for my lil bro he seems to find his way (graduating from high school in June!) and....I'm thankful for....being me! :) Oh yeah, I'm thankful for having THE most laid back Sharpei in San Francisco 8) ........other than that.....I'm thankful I'm fortunate enough to be apart of so many opportunities and that I will be sure to get to where I want to be by not giving up.......
Last but not least...I'm thankful for all the friends...family...extended families I've come to be apart of over the years....and I'm thankful for meeting such nice people to converse with over the good ol' internet :)

Here in England we have like a thanksgiving dinner ..... every Sunday
We have something like your thanksgiving (forgot its name), but we don't really celebrate it. Come to think of it, us Brits don't thank anyone for much ....
Nevertheless, have a good thanksgiving :)

It was a fun thanksgiving -- I'm vegetarian, so I had soup salad and bread. A lot of it. :D

I hope you all had a great, relaxing weekend, no matter where you are. Time for some last minute dieting before the holidays! Happy Thanksgiving everyone :)
