Finally after nearly two years of suffering with AOL BroadBand it is time to get rid of it.

So, here is my last laugh at it before I throw it to my tigers in the back yard.

I was testing my emails earlier using Opera's M2 email client. I sent a test email to my AOL email account, I didn't receive it so assumed I had setup the mail account wrong in Opera. So, I sent a test email to my gmail account and received perfectly, so, I assumed it was a glitch in that first attempt so ignored it.

For record, I actually sent the email to my AOL account at 17:19:33 GMT.

And guess what... at 18:03:33 GMT I have only just received it. Great email service there AOL, well done on yet another success.

'bout time. Please tell me you have another broadband provider available!

I use RoadRunner, which is owned by Time Warner (merged with AOL a couple years ago), but they've not deluged us with AOL crap, and the service has been very reliable. I'd sling a line out the window for you to get a piece of my service, but it would need to be a mighty long line. :)

<Great throw Paul, the catch of the line by me was even better> ;)

Decided to go with Demon, apparently used mainly by companies so evenings and weekends (When I am online most) are a lot faster than other providers as there are not many people using the service.

I'm using freedom 2 surf (f2s.com) and they've been very reliable. Haven't had any major issues with them myself so far (couple of times over the last 2 years that a radius server error appeared but I got the impression that was something to do with bt - these only had me offline for an hour or two though on each occasion). Their prices are OK aswell and they offer uncapped packages (never had a complaint from them even when I've set it away downloading gigs worth of linux ISOs and stuff). Worth a look if you're shopping around.
