Here is a simple Web Design showing a group of pictures, each linked to larger pictures. Notice the size of files and the resolution. One of my problems has been a lack of formal training in any of this. Enjoy.

Hi KirxKlox. What types of issues have you faced with these pictures? I know there are a couple pretty proficient Photoshop people on here. Maybe they have some answers!

These pictures were from several donors and a couple of MINE. A couple of the Fingernails are Pixelated. Some of the larger pictures are Large files. These pictures were taken by using Digital Cameras (various) and Scanners. Most were reduced by using MS PhotoEditer and were not changed to BMP or TIFF to play around with. The originals have been lost and have degraded to be about worthless. Some of the originals were lost by HD Crashes.

Because of the Size of these items "less than 2 inches" and much of the fine detail in their Damaskeening Patterns, pictures must retain a high resolution.

Can you not create thumbnails seperately?

Side Note - target="_blank" was originally intended for linking to external sites. Just thought you might like to know that :)

The TNs are 250x250. The large pictures are 600x600. I made the tns seperately.

You are right. The pictures are on different Web Sites.

Oh I didn't check the URL I just assumed ;) But good nevertheless. Even so, is it not practical for you to make smaller images for the thumbnails?

If not, you could try using width="50%" height="50%" instead of specifying a height and width in pixels. Aslong as you try keep this relative (in 25's ... 25%, 50%, 75% or in 10's .... 10%, 20%, 30%) this might help solve your loss of resolution.

Using onsite reductions is useless as there is an extreme loss in RESOLUTION.

Use PNG vs JPG
